Get Some Needed Relief With These Hangover Tips

Why Hangover Tips?....Because,
men will find any excuse to drink beer be it finding a misplaced wallet or celebrating our best friend's girlfriend moving out.
It’s beer time. When this celebratory mode carries into the early hours, come morning your pretty much guaranteed a hangover.
So next time your head is pounding worse than the last time you did long division, pick yourself up off the floor, wipe those potato chip crumbs off your chest,
and take note of these hangover tips for some needed relief to bring you back to the world of the living.
Best Hangover Tip - Liquids
Feeling like someone stuffed a wool sock in your mouth? It's because you're dehydrated, one of the major symptoms of a hangover.
Water being the obvious choice for rehydration, I feel is the #1 combatant of a
hangover
when consumed the night before. So drink a few glasses during your
night of debauchery and right before you go to bed. This, I feel is one of the best hangover tips and will pay over ten fold.
In the morning the best thing to have on hand in your fridge is a sports drink such as Gatorade or PowerAde. It helps in rehydration and replenishes
your body with needed minerals.
Try and avoid things like heavy acidic juices as they will only upset your stomach. For you coffee drinkers, the rule of thumb is don't drink it as it will only
dehydrate you more.
I say give it one cup because after drowning your body with alcohol, it will surely punish your further if you don't feed its caffeine addiction.
A Shower.
Guess What?--You Stink. Unfortunately a shower will not wash away any of your drunken antics from the night before, it will at least wash away the scent of last night's
sinnery. The real benefit here is, a good hot shower will help rid the body of the toxins it is working so hard to expel.
Food
Double Cheeseburger, large fry and chocolate shake. If this sounds tempting to you, my recommendation is to save it for later. Right now your
body just needs something light to fill the empty void in your stomach.
An english muffin or a bagel are good ones to start with. Fresh fruit is always a great option for some food, as it will add vitamins to your depleted system.
The key is to stay away from rich or fatty foods as they will only intensify any nausea you may be feeling.
Pills
Whether it's aspirin, vitamins, or over the counter hangover cures, they all have their place in the grand scheme of a hangover.
Take aspirin to help stop the jackhammer pounding away inside your head. Now what type of aspirin you take and when you take them are up for debate.
There are claims that you should avoid acetaminophen based products as they may be harmful when mixed with alcohol. Others say that you should not take any
pain reliever when drinking as it slows your system's ability to process alcohol. With that said, I usually keep a couple by my bedside and take them
at some point early morning and go back to sleep.
Drinking depletes your body of various vitamins. Take a good multi vitamin to help restore those levels your body needs.
One of the hangover tips I have not tried is taking Vitamin B6 while drinking.
This has been known to lessen the effects of a hangover.
There are numerous over the counter hangover remedies available, just look around at a convenience store. I have tried a couple with no apparent results.
If you have tried any of these let me know which ones work, you can Submit Them Here.
Sleep
After polluting your body with alcohol, your organs are working overtime to bring you out of that zombie like state you’re in. With your body expending all
that energy, you will be left feeling tired. So if at all possible, close the shades, lock the door, shut out the rest of the world and get some needed
sleep.
Hair Of The Dog
The single worst thing you can do for a hangover is to continue drinking in the morning, you are just prolonging the agony. There are times however when
severe hangovers call for drastic measures. On mornings such as these, I reach for a bloody mary. A couple of these wonderful mixtures of tomato juice and
vodka will lift you out of a saddened state. This remedy should be reserved for days you have off, (be it a weekend or calling in dead), because unfortunately
the buzz fades, and your left feeling as if you are peering up from the gates of hell.
To my knowledge there is no miracle cure for a hangover. If you spent the night drinking like tomorrow will never come, well... it has... like they always do
and the damage is already done. The only possible thing you can do now is to try and bring your alcohol soaked corpse back to mankind by following the hangover
tips I have provided for you.
If you do have a miracle cure or a self remedy,
I want to hear it,
as I may need it the next time I find my wallet.
